Attorney Makar, draws from years of experience and passion in working with immigrants and their families to help them reach their immigration goals. Aside from her immigration law practice, Attorney Makar remains active in her community by volunteering with Migrant Advocacy Programs where eligible migrant students and their families receive access to quality educational, health, and other social service opportunities through partnerships with local schools and community agencies and churches.
Born to Egyptian and Puerto Rican parents, Ananis Makar was fortunate enough to
have been raised in both Puerto Rico and Egypt, where she developed a clear
understanding of her culture and society around the world. After moving to Florida,
she attended the University of Tampa, where she attained her Bachelor’s Degree. Her desire for change and education led her to pursue her Juris Doctorate Degree, at
Florida A &M College of Law in Orlando Florida.
After obtaining her Juris Doctorate Degree, she was later admitted to the Florida
Bar. Attorney Makar then started her legal career practicing immigration, criminal
and bankruptcy law as an Associate Attorney in Tampa where she gained
considerable trial and legal experience in a wide variety of cases for individual and
corporate clients.
Eager to run her own law firm, Attorney Makar founded The Law Offices of Makar
P.A., which is dedicated exclusively to the practice of U.S. Immigration
Law. Representing clients all over the United States and the world, her firm strives
to provide individualized, personal service while being proactive, responsive and
accessible with offices located in Orlando and Plant City, Florida.
In 2018, Ananis Makar served as an Adjunct Professor at Florida A&M College of Law where she sought to teach future Attorneys the importance of community
involvement, ethics, and giving a voice to those in need of justice.
Attorney Makar is currently a member of the Florida State Bar and following
organizations:
